Located off the bay of Quiberon between the southern coast of Brittany and Belle-Île-en-Mer, Hoëdic island is part of the Ponant islands, just like its northwestern neighbor, the island of Houat. This small island is a preserved little slice of paradise, with wild landscapes and an authentic atmosphere.

Between sea, village and nature
Hoëdic, a small Breton island full of charm, offers a timeless escape for those who discover it. Among the must-sees, the picturesque village delights visitors with its white houses and typical blue shutters, perfect for strolling through its flower-lined lanes. Just a few minutes' walk away, the beaches of Vieux Port to the south, Port Blanc to the west and the Blue Beach, nicknamed « Tahiti Beach », to the east, invite you to swim and relax in a beautifully preserved natural setting.
Built in 1859, Fort Hoëdic tells the maritime history of the island and offers exceptional ocean views. The 5.3-mile coastal path makes it easy to walk the entire island in about two hours, revealing breathtaking panoramas with wild coves, dunes and Breton heathland. Finally, the local wildlife and vegetation, from blooming moors to seabirds, highlight the natural richness and protected character of Hoëdic island.
How to get there ?
Hoëdic island is accessible only by boat from Quiberon year-round, with a crossing time of about 1 hour and also from Locmariaquer, Port-Navalo, Vannes or even Le Croisic during the seasonal months. Once on the island, everything is explored on foot or by bike, making it an ideal destination for a day trip or a peaceful, slow-paced stay.
